The 21st March sees the return of DUBABUSE. In it’s new home at the East Village Arts Club Dubabuse has returned with lineups to make Dub & Reggae fans sit up and take notice and provide a much needed home & place of worship for all things DUB.
The Legendary MACKA B (playing with a full Band) opens proceedings. This is definitely a show not to be missed….Doors open 23:00 – 04:00 get your Tickets HERE
Dubabuse started in the mid 90’s and the sessions have been running on an off since around 97. In between european dates Dubabuse has at times been the only local and Liverpool run dub session in the city. Mad Proffessor, Iration Steppas, Zion Train, Mr Scruff, Dub Vendor selector Oxman and a whole host of others have played to the dubabuse regulars and with the new home at the Arts Club things look set to solidify Dubabuse’s reputation as probably the best Dub night in town….

Dubabuse was started by Sonny in 1993 with dj sets and live vinyl sampling for Liverpool band Zeb (the first solo dubabuse show coming a couple of years later supporting Rootsman at legendary Liverpool club night Voodoo) From the mid 90’s it was all about the Dubabuse club night which was committed to showcasing the finest UK dub artists such as Zion Train, Mad Professor, Henry and Louis, Jah Free, Iration Steppas, Oxman (Dub Vendor), Mr Scruff and loads more dub pioneers, many playing Liverpool for the first time.
The music and live shows evolved further and gave birth to The Corinthians with original dub compositions using live additional sounds with Kaossilators, unique samples, dub-fx and vocals (some live shows also featuring drummer Joey Zeb, various vocalists, and mc’s)
Dubabuse and The Corinthians have played live shows across the U.K and Germany, Jersey, Poland (and a spot at Dub Sound Camp, Debki in 2013). Currently Sonny Dubabuse is a resident at ‘Root’ and performs regular Dubabuse /Corinthians shows in Liverpool and beyond.
